LUSTING THE CACAO BEAN. The Guiltless Satisfaction of going after What you Want.

The hypnotic lure of the cacao bean…she stopped typing.  The task on her computer screen had suddenly become fuzzy and insignificant. Her mind zig zagged, and swerved, colliding with her stomach; a duo both dangerous and determined. Together they chanted…”chocolate. chocolate. Chocolate!”. The relentless chatter was smothering all reason. Her body surrendered, tickled and surging with desire.   She pushed back hard on her chair and headed towards the kitchen.  Her mouth watered, her heart fluttered, stomach groaned.  Oh how she wished… imagined a lover desiring to devour her as much as she lusted for the full, dark, thick ravenous taste of chocolate at the peak of this moment.  The hope of the insatiable, forbidden fulfillment left her breathless.  The groan from her stomach swept north, flushing her cheeks as she exhaled hard with want…

She rummaged passionately through the pantry, searching for the unmentionable.  Her tawny lover was no where to be found.  Her mouth watered for chocolate, her tongue ached.  She scoured the raw elements on the bottom shelf of the cupboard. The sugar, the salt.. those that  secretly longed to be melded and merged.  The lonely, single ingredients sat stale, gazing up at her with hope…could she mix and make her chocolate?  She was desperate and she was willing.  Calculating quickly in her head, googling the details; the hopeful suitors on the bottom tier of the closet fell distraught, and short.

Mutually discouraged, she slammed the cupboard door banishing her desperate aspiration of becoming a prodigy Chocolatier.  The desperation for relief was consuming her.  She had emerged from serene to insane in a matter of seconds and chocolate was her fix.   She reluctantly allowed reason to wander in…she didn’t NEED chocolate, could fulfillment be found elsewhere?  With haste she reached for the peanut butter, dipped her spoon, closed her eyes, and prayed for fireworks. Silence. There was no surrogate for her true desire.

Unrelenting cravings; an inward shift of hormone and hunger that breaks the barriers of reason.  Yearning and hungry she sped to her closet grocery store. She thrust aside regret and guilt and gave reign to her passion and desire.  She granted herself freedom to be wickedly aroused and comfortably blessed in one indulgent, bursting, delectable bite of chocolate; her quest.  She smiled at a mission accomplished.  She hadn’t settled.  She had got up, got out, and went after what she wanted.  Her stomach moaned with pleasure, rumbled, thanked her…she could still taste the rich sweetness on her tongue.  She was wantonly and completely satisfied.
